I have almost made it through the Inktober Challenge for the month of October. Originally set up by illustrator Jake Parker, there are a ton of prompts lists (search #Inktober on IG) out there, but I decided to just follow my own inspiration. I think these types of personal challenges are great for getting in my daily art-making practice and making me accountable to myself.
This month I started with a theme of meditative animals and plants and was thinking about oracle cards or something like that as a final result. After a visit to Unity Farm Sanctuary early in the month, I got loose with my watercolors. I morphed that a bit into a series of wild cats, and now I am putting crowns on tropical animals… who knows where this will lead!
I have uploaded drawings from the month to Society6 where you can purchase prints in a uniform size of your choice. For example, order three 8x8” prints (here is a link to what I mean) and then a set of tiny frames (here’s an example). Then hang them as a set!
